Blogiversary Contest!

November 20th, 2009  |  Published in Contests, Crafts, Holidays, Letterpress  |  19 Comments

It’s a month of firsts for me! My first wedding anniversary, first blogiversary, first craft sale, and first CONTEST!

I made these letterpress calendars to sell at the craft sale this weekend. For the holidays New Years, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, there is a cute little holiday picture instead of the date. They fit into an empty CD case for display. I think they would be perfect for the office!

To win a calendar, simply leave a comment by Thanksgiving Day telling me your favorite holiday and why. I will pick one comment at random to determine who the winner is! Be sure to leave some way for me to get in contact with you. I am happy to ship internationally.

Here’s to another year! Thanks for reading!

My favorite holiday is Christmas because of the desserts, family, and the holiday spirit, which makes people generally get along. : )

My favorite holiday is Christmas as well. I love all the glittery twinkle lights, the music, and now that I have a daughter I’m really excited about teaching her about Santa and watching her face light up on Christmas morning.

My favorite holiday is the 4th of July. It is a lovely, relaxing day that is usually warm and sunny. We spend it with good friends and have great food. At night we ooh and ahh as we watch the fireworks.

Hi Annie! My favorite holiday is Memorial Day because it is the launchpad for summer! (P.S. If I don’t win, can I buy a calendar from you?)

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because not only do I get to eat oodles of delicious foods…but I also find that for me, it’s the best time of year to reflect on where I’ve been and where I’m headed in life and who has helped me along the journey.

    Hi Annie,

My favorite holiday is Easter Sunday. Not only does it remind me that I serve a risen Savior but its so nice to see everything waking up after a long winter. Spring is here and what a great time to celebrate. Easter baskets, treats, the Easter ham cooking and the wonderful smell of Easter Lilies.

PS I love your site. :)

My favorite holiday is halloween. It provides an excellent opportunity for creativity and construction of costumes.

I like them all but favorite has to Halloween, its my birth month so all my birthday parties growing up were themed halloween. Least favorite is Valentine Day, too many expectations, many get left out and feel hurt. Love the calendar-will set it @ my desk @ a residential hall @ a University-Go Big Blue.

My favorite holiday is Halloween. I love the costumes, the chocolate, and the parties. At Halloween, you party with friends whereas at Christmas, you endure gatherings with your family. Lol. I also love October, and I love that October ends with my favorite holiday.

My favourite holiday is SINTERKLAAS! We only celebrate in the Netherlands and Belgium. Sinterklaas is a very old man who lives in Spain and once a yaer he comes over to bring presents to the little childeren (if they have been good!!!) He brings his helpers (pieten) and the childeren are exciteted and a little scared. I love it because it a dutch tradition that every dutchman, young or old, helps to save for the next generation. (its not about the presents or the sweets, or the pastery, ow no, ofcourse not ;-) )

    XO Heidi

My favorite holiday is Chinese New Year. We eat long noodles (for a long life), and always save leftovers into the new year (for carry over from one year to the next). We get red envelopes full of money from my grandma – but only if we can successfully say “happy new year” in Chinese!

My favorite holiday is Christmas. It’s the one time of year we get to see all of our family. It’s also great to see how excited the kids are!

Those calendars are a great idea!!

My favorite holiday is Christmas because I get to decorate the house any way I like and my husband just keeps mum about any decision I make.

My favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day, for the color scheme, the chocolate, and the Valentine mailboxes you got to make in elementary school. For some reason, I always think it’s fun, even when I’m single. :)
